What to do if you were Absent

Absent? No worries! Look here!

Okay, so you've missed a day of class during this project. What should you do?

  1. Check the daily post on the Gunn ROV Challenge Blog home page. Mrs. S tries to highlight important information for that particular class date. Read it!
  2. Talk to your teammates. Ask your teammates to fill you in on what was accomplished on the day you missed. Reading each of their daily logs as well as the Team Lead daily post (located on your home page) should give you some information on what was finished and what needs to happen next.
  3. Make up time missed. Since you missed class time, you owe me time. This needs to be arranged with me to happen during flex, tutorial, lunch (maybe), or after school. I have LOTS of mini projects going on during the ROV project. Maybe you will help make a schworoctopus or piece of coral! You should plan on making up the time the same week you are absent. If you are absent on a Friday, please make up the time early the following week
  4. Update your blog. On your blog, you will make an entry for each day you were gone.  It should include the following:
    • The date you were gone
    • The date/time you will be doing your make up with Mrs. S.
    • 3-5 sentences on what you did during your make up time.
Example post:

5/5/2016-Absent

Make up date/time: 5/8 During Flextime
During this make up time I completed my bio for the About Us page. I then reviewed our blog and did a personal interview on ROV's with Mrs. S. For the remainder of the time, I helped Mrs. S build corals for the pool competition by drilling holes in the T connectors and by folding pieces of pipe cleaner for the branches of the coral.
